What’s new
The new features will help you create dynamic appeals to grow income and inspire supporters:
A new “tabbed” style donation form as standard
Now, for all forms where one-off and regular payments are both enabled, users will be able to quickly jump between each payment type using a “tabs”.
Regular-payment-only appeals for a sustainable, predictable income model
When creating appeals pages, you can now targeted regular giving by only enabling the regular giving option. To do this, just leave the one-off options blank. Rework your content within the appeal so donors understand the value around regular giving.
The option to specify default donation amounts
When users land on your donation form, you can provide a suggested donation amount by way of a default.
You can specify one-off or regular payments as the first option presented to donors
You choose what your donors see when they first land on your forms. This can be easily toggled behind the scenes in the manager settings.
Reflect your unique charity voice by changing the wording of several parts of the donation form
You say potato… now you can with this new feature! You can now change any of the text elements seen below. If you’re unsure of where the label sits, there’s a tip with a screenshot if you hover over the ‘?’.
You can also override the default Gift Aid wording on the forms. This can be found in Settings > Set-up > Donations.
📌 Note: Please be sure the new wording meets HMRC requirements and those of your organisation.
Create specific monthly, quarterly or annual regular-payment Appeals by controlling the available frequency of regular payments within an Appeal
Just use the below checkbox to select which you want to appear. If you select a single payment frequency, that option will show in the tab for a more intuitive donor experience.
Show and hide various donation form elements
This includes options to display the “Leave a comment” field; to show those comments on this Appeal page; to include the Gift Aid declaration (for eligible appeals); and to include the "Display your name with your donation on our site" field in the donation form. There is also the option to only show the “Other amount” field for ”pay what you want” or “fundraiser pay in” Appeal styles (or exclude 'Other' as an option).
Control which consents are available
In the manager, you will be able to choose which consents will show. This is available for all consents.
Optionally make consents required fields, for cast-iron GDPR consents
In the same place as you control the consents above, you also have the option to make these questions required. This option will make both contact reasons and the channels by which a donor can be contacted required.
Over to you
We can’t wait to see how you use these new features.
From more intuitive “become a friend” Appeals to segmented regular-only giving, the new donation form gives you the freedom to set up Appeals your way.
If you have any feedback, we’d love to hear it.
