The website has a three step donation process:
The Appeal page: Gives you details of what the appeal is all about and has a 'Donate' button to continue the journey.
The URL for this will be in the format www.yourwebsite/appeal/appeal-name.
There will usually be an appeal called 'Donate' already available (www.yourwebsite/appeal/donate).
The donation page: This is where the amount and frequency of a donation can be chosen.
The URL for this will be in the format www.yourwebsite/donate/appeal-name/.
The payment page: Where you can add the address, credit card details and more.
Some sites use redirects to bypass the first step and jump straight to the donation step.

πNote: This three-step process is part of the core platform code and can't be changed.
Continue collecting donations after the target amount has been reached
Once the target amount for an Appeal has been reached the donate button will no longer appear.
If you want to continue collecting donations against this Appeal you have two options:
Edit it and increase the target amount.
Select the Allow donations to continue after the target is reached checkbox for this appeal.
If your supporters are getting any error messages during the donation process relating their card details, please contact your payment provider for more details. This will be Stripe or GoCardless as the payments are processed by them.
Please monitor your emails for any messages coming from Stripe or GoCardless as it frequently happens for them to require more information about your account, such as an email address.
If you don't provide them the requested information your account will be temporarily suspended and donations will stop.
