The Media Centre is where you upload the images, documents and other files for your website.
The Media Centre accepts the following file types: doc, docx, eot, jpeg, jpg, mp3, ods, odt, pdf, png, ppt, pptx, svg, swf, ttf, woff, woff2, xls, xlsx, and zip.
โ ๏ธ Important: We have a limit of 10MB per file. For images, we have a limit of a maximum image size of 3000 x 3000 pixels. If your image exceeds this, you will need to lower the resolution of the image before uploading.
Before you add files to the Media Centre make sure that you have labeled or named them. This will help you search for them easily when you want to use them.
๐ค Tip: We recommend you also add the image size (in pixels) in the file name for future reference, for example image_200x350.jpg.

Add alt text to images
Itโs important to add alt text to the images on your site to improve the accessibility of your website for people who use screen readers. It is also a requirement for W3C validation.
To add alt text to an image:
Select the image in the Media Centre window.
Click the Settings tab above the image in the right-hand column.
Add the alternative text in the field and then click Save settings.
The alt text should offer a short meaningful description of whatโs in the image, and include any text which is visible in the image.

To remove a file from the Media Centre:
Select the file in the Media Centre window.
Click the Settings tab above the file in the right-hand column.

Deactivating a file won't remove it from your website. If you want to remove a file from a page on your site, you need to remove it from the page itself rather than through the Media Centre.
