When a user donates you can set up a series of GDPR consents in order to contact the user in the future. These consents can be synced with mailing purposes within Charity CRM.
Find GDPR consents
To find GDPR consents click Settings, then Consent Management.
Within this area, you can decide on the messaging you wish to convey while requesting consents, as well as naming the consents you wish to use themselves.
Link consents to mailing purposes
The linking factor between the two systems are the reasons.
Whenever a user signs up to the site, either by creating an account or donating, they'll be asked a set of reasons for which we can contact them in the future, for example, to send them a newsletter.
When the user accepts or declines these reasons, the data is passed along to Charity CRM.
In order for the data to be successfully sent to Charity CRM, the name of the reason needs to match the name of the purpose within Charity CRM.
To find the purposes, follow the steps below:
Log into Access Charity CRM.
Click CRM, then Contact Admin.
Select Communication Purposes.
This will load the purposes currently within Charity CRM.
You can either:
Set the reason name to match the existing purposes.
Click New to create a new one for your reason.
