Choose your own image for social sharing

Set a dedicated social sharing image to ensure your content always looks clear and engaging when shared on social media.

Your banner image is designed to look great on the page, but that doesn't always translate well when a link is shared on Facebook, X or LinkedIn. Wide, atmospheric banner images can end up looking cropped or unclear as a small social preview thumbnail.

You can now set a separate Social sharing image, available wherever you manage content, including news, events, appeals, shop items and category pages. This gives you a dedicated image just for social previews, independent of the banner image on the page itself.

To set one, open the content you're editing in Manager and look for the new Social sharing image field alongside your existing Banner image upload. We've included a recommended size (1200 x 630) right there at the point of upload, so you don't need to research the right dimensions yourself.

📌 Note: If you don't set a social sharing image, your content will continue to use the banner image as before, so nothing changes unless you choose to update it.
